Privacy Policy
What the Snake Express game collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
This policy explains what information the Snake Express game (“the game”, app ID com.palaxygame.snakeexpress.puzzlegame) collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. Snake Express is made by Palaxy Game (“we”, “us”).
In short
- The game has no accounts of its own. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress, coins, boosters, skins and settings are kept on your phone. If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is also kept in your Play Games account, so it comes back after you reinstall the game or move to a new phone.
- The game uses Google’s Firebase and AdMob services. They collect your approximate location (from your IP address), how you use the app, diagnostics and device identifiers such as the Advertising ID. This is used for analytics, ads and fraud prevention, and is shared with Google.
- All of it is encrypted in transit.
- The game is meant for people aged 13 and over.
Information that stays on your phone
The game saves your level progress, stars, coins, boosters, unlocked skins, daily reward streak, chest progress and settings (sound, vibration, theme) on your device. This information is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time in Settings → Reset progress, or by uninstalling the game. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is also kept there, as described next.
Google Play Games (optional)
The game uses Google Play Games Services. On most Android phones Play Games signs you in by itself when the game starts; you can also sign in from Settings. Signing in is optional, and the game works fully without it. When you are signed in:
- The game receives your Play Games player ID and gamer name from Google. The name is shown on your phone (“Signed in as…”); we don’t send either of them anywhere else.
- Achievements you earn, such as levels cleared and stars collected, are sent to Play Games and shown in your Play Games profile.
- Cloud save. Your game progress (the levels you have unlocked, your best stars and times, coins, boosters, skins, daily streak and chest progress) is saved as a Play Games saved game, stored by Google in your Play Games account. When you sign in on a new install or a new phone, the game reads it back so you can carry on. The saved game holds no personal information, and we cannot read it from a server: only the game, on your signed-in phone, can.
Deleting it. Settings → Reset progress also replaces your saved game with a fresh one. You can delete everything Play Games keeps for this game, including the saved game and achievements, from your Play Games profile settings, or your whole Play Games account from your Google Account.
Play Games Services encrypts this data in transit using HTTPS. Google handles it under the Google Privacy Policy.
Information collected automatically
The game includes these Google services:
- Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand how the game is played.
- Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Installations let us adjust game settings such as prices and rewards without an update.
- Google AdMob, the Google Mobile Ads SDK, shows ads. It works with Google’s consent tool, the User Messaging Platform.
Together they collect the following:
| Type of information | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Approximate location | A general location estimated from your device’s IP address. The game never asks for GPS location. | Analytics, advertising, fraud prevention |
| App interactions | App opens, taps, screens viewed, ads viewed, and game events such as levels started, won or lost, stars, combos, coins earned, boosters used, chests opened, daily rewards claimed and skins chosen | Analytics, advertising, fraud prevention |
| Diagnostics | App launch time, hang rate and energy use, collected by the ads SDK | Analytics, advertising, fraud prevention |
| Device or other identifiers | The Android Advertising ID, app set ID, Firebase installation ID and Google Analytics app-instance ID | Running game features, analytics, advertising, fraud prevention |
Firebase also receives basic technical details such as your country, language, time zone, Android version and device model. These are used to deliver the right game settings and keep the service working. We also record five general facts about your play in Google Analytics: the highest level you have reached, your daily reward streak, the skin you use, and broad ranges for your coin balance and for how many ads you have watched.
Players can’t turn this collection off inside the game, except for the ad choices described in Ads and your choices. It is needed to run, improve and fund the game.
How we use information
- To run the game and deliver settings such as prices, rewards and limits.
- To understand how players use the game, so we can balance levels and fix problems.
- To show ads, including rewarded ads you choose to watch, and to measure how they perform.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and invalid ad activity.
Ads and your choices
- Personalised ads. AdMob may use the Advertising ID to show ads based on your interests.
- Consent in Europe. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads; the wording varies by device).
- Play Games. Signing in to Play Games is optional. Without it, no achievements or saved game are sent to Play Games.
- Stopping all collection. Uninstalling the game stops all collection by the game.
How long information is kept
Information on your phone is kept until you reset your progress or uninstall the game. Your Play Games saved game and achievements are kept by Google until you reset your progress in the game (which replaces the saved game) or delete them from Play Games. Google Analytics keeps user-level data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, up to 14 months, and after that only in aggregated reports. Google keeps AdMob data as described in its own policies.
Security
All information the game sends is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Google stores it on its own systems under its security practices.
Children
Snake Express is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game and that information about them was collected, please contact us and we will help remove it where we can.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct or delete it, or to object to its use. This includes the European Union and UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Because the game has no accounts of its own, the information we collect is linked to random device identifiers, not to your name. What Play Games keeps for you is linked to your Play Games account, and you can view and delete it there. To exercise a right, or if you have any question, email us at the address below and we will respond as the law requires. You can also use the controls in Ads and your choices at any time.
Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it, for example through the consent form for ads. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in running, improving and funding the game.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game changes. The new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will also tell players in the game or on its Google Play page.
